RSS Feeds
RSS, also known as Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, is used to publish frequently updated content such as blogs, news headlines, podcasts, and event calendars. RSS feeds can be a summary or full-text of content found on websites. This content can be ‘fed’ into websites to give users a snapshot of the latest content from your chosen RSS feed.
RSS feeds have become a standard feature of the web for the delivery of news and other content. Most websites that deliver news and events content offer an RSS feed. Links to these feeds are provided and often marked with the RSS logo that is orange and white. If you can not easily find a site’s RSS feed, you should enter the word “RSS” into the Search box on the site (if one is provided).
There are several University RSS feeds available for use on your UConn site.
