Template Builder

Follow the steps below to generate a customized template for your UConn website. Use of the template builder is not required, but serves as an easy way to implement a website that meets University web standards.

When you're finished, visit our Tutorials for information on editing the files, connecting to the UConn server, and working in Dreamweaver.

Note to UConn Health Center faculty and staff: Customized UCHC templates downloaded from this page have been developed for Sharepoint Designer. Please contact Sheryl Rosen at (860) 679-1769 to setup a new website on the Health Center server.

5) Download Type

Recommended
Utilizes global style sheets maintained by the Web Development Lab. Users will benefit from global styles while also having the ability to customize the styling of their own sites as needed. This version also uses remotely cached files for faster page loads.
Advanced
Includes local copies of all styling sheets and related images. Users working with this version are responsible for manual updates of the template. Best for advanced users and those working with secure directories or applications.
