THE BASTOW & BINNIE AWARD IN URBAN STUDIES is a $1,000 award which will be awarded annually to two (2) Urban & Community Studies majors from the University of Connecticut. Marc Bastow is a former Urban Studies major who has generously established this award for Urban and Community Studies students. The two awards will be granted each year, one to a major from the Storrs Campus and the other to a major at the Tri-Campus. The award letter states that “both campuses should select ‘deserving’ recipients on the basis of academic merit, community involvement and need.”
