UCHI-funded Study Groups offer faculty from across disciplines the opportunity to meet in small groups with colleagues interested in a particular issue or area of study.
Groups often begin by discussing shared readings and advance to sharing their in-progress work related to the Study Group’s focus. Some groups continue working together to develop collections of essays for publication, a conference around their area of interest, or an interdisciplinary course. Groups may reapply for funding each year. UCHI offers funds that may be used for the purchase of books, photocopying, and refreshments and offers a quiet, convivial space to meet.
The current study groups are:
Humanities and Medicine
Legal Studies
Digital Humanities Study Group
Queer and Transgender Theory in Research and Teaching Study Group
If you want to organize a study group and seek UCHI funding, please follow these instructions.
