Waterbury Writing Center
Room 227E (second floor inside the library).
The Waterbury Writing Center provides a friendly environment in which students may develop their essays with the assistance of professional and peer tutors. Our knowledgeable tutors are specifically trained to complement the instruction offered in Freshman English and writing courses, and we provide individual assistance at any stage in the writing process. Whether you wish to organize your initial thoughts about an assignment or revise a final essay, a tutor is available to help you, and we encourage you to meet with a tutor for a series of sessions as you develop your essays.
Drop-ins are welcome, but we suggest that you come by the Writing Center ahead of time to sign up for an appointment. Please come by Room 227E, which is on the 2nd floor inside the library, and sign up for a session today. Sign-up sheets are located just outside the door of the Writing Center. Call us if you cannot make it to the Writing Center when we are open. We may be able to arrange to meet you at another time.
We are open the following days and times:
Monday 11:00 – 2:00 & 5:00 – 6:00
Tuesday 12:30 – 4:00
