Application Checklist

Before an admission decision can be made, all items and materials listed below must be received.  Additional items are included in the checklist for international students:

  • Official transcripts sent directly to the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office from each college/university you attended, whether or not you wish or expect to receive credit
  • Official high school record with date of graduation, or official GED/SED transcripts, sent directly to the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office
  • SAT or ACT scores sent directly from appropriate testing service unless they are included on the high school record.  (NOTE:  This requirement is waived for applicants who are 25 years of age or older; or who have completed the equivalent of 45 transferrable semester hour credits in full-time course work at the time of application.)
  • Transfer essay that is a thoughtful commentary on your academic goals and explains your reasons for leaving your present/most recently attended institution to attend the University of Connecticut
  • If you are a permanent resident/non-U.S. citizen, submit a photocopy of the front and back of your Permanent Resident Card

NOTE: Your application with all required materials must be submitted and completed by the appropriate deadline.

Once all required application materials have been received and your file is complete, an admission decision will be made and you will be notified online through the Student Administration System (NOTE: In some cases, a final decision may be deferred until receipt of additional information as requested by the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office). Decisions are generally final.

Transfer applicants to the Storrs campus who wish to be considered for on-campus housing must have submitted and completed the admission application by the April 1st deadline.
