General Information
The UAC is the campus hub for all things adventure. Program registration, outdoor
workshops and equipment rental all happen here. We also stock a wide variety of
adventure reference materials such as maps, periodicals, guidebooks and mapping
software to help you learn more about the adventure locations and activities at your
fingertips. Stop by and visit with our staff, they will be happy to assist you.
Program Registration
Trip and clinic registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and begins the first day of
classes. At the time of registration, you will be asked to provide your valid UConn ID.
Non-student SRF members are required to show proof of insurance at registration.
Non-member guests are required to show a valid driver’s license and proof of
insurance at registration. All participants will be asked to read, complete and sign the
UConn Outdoors registration form.
Non-Member Policy
Non-members are allowed to participate in UConn Outdoors programs, except where
noted. Non-members must be sponsored by a member registered for the same UConn
Outdoors program. Only one non-member guest allowed per participant. Nonmembers
are allowed to register for programs two weeks after the opening of regular
program registration.
Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of registration, unless otherwise noted.
Payment can be made in the form of Husky Bucks, cash or check made payable to
“UConn Recreational Services.” Some programs may require a deposit. Please
note that all deposits are non-refundable. Programs with deposits have a required
date for the payment of remaining fees. Payment must be made by the date listed or
the participant forfeits all fees.

forfeiture of all fees. As we are adventurers, our trips or clinics usually
take place rain or shine. However, if the situation warrants it due to unsafe
conditions, we reserve the right to cancel a trip/workshop at any time. In
the event of a cancellation, all fees will be refunded. Additionally, UConn
Outdoors reserves the right to remove or alter program itinerary items due to
unforeseen circumstances.
Information Meetings
Some trips will require attendance at a pre-trip information meeting. Meetings are
held in the UConn Adventure Center and times will be listed on the trip information
form given to you at registration. These meetings are extremely important as
equipment, food, safety issues, departure times and various other items will be
discussed and determined by the group. attendance is mandatory unless otherwise
arranged with the Director for Outdoor Adventure. Individuals who do not attend the
information meetings without prior arrangements will not be allowed on the program
and will forfeit all fees.
