UConn Adventure Center (UAC)
The newest addition to UConn Recreation is the UConn Adventure Center (UAC) located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union across from the Ticket and Information Desks. We are your one stop shop for all things adventure. All UConn Outdoors trip and program registration take place at the UAC. We also rent all types of outdoor equipment including items such as mountain bikes, tents, sleeping bags, frisbee golf sets, snowshoes, coolers, and roller blades.
Payment Information
All patrons must have a valid UConn ID at the time of payment and be a current Student Recreation Facility member. The UAC accepts cash, check, or HuskyBucks payments. Please call 486-0002 for more information.

Rental Policies
Renter's Responsibilities
The renter assumes full responsibility for all outdoor equipment and accessories that are rented. The renter will maintain and return all equipment in the clean, dry, and working condition in which they received the items. The renter is responsible for any late, damaged, cleaning, or replacement fees that may be assessed upon return of the rented equipment. Daily Equipment is returned on either the same or next day of rental. Weekend Equipment is picked-up on Friday and returned on Monday. Weekly Equipment may be rented out a maximum of seven days, including pick-up and return days. Pick-up Equipment can only be picked-up on the day the rental period begins. Returned Equipment must be returned one hour prior to the close of the UAC on the last day of the rental period.
Reservations & Refund Policy
The user must pay the total balance of the equipment rental
upon reservation. Reservations can be made up to five days in advance of equipment pick-up. All rentals must be returned on the due date no later than one hour prior to the UAC closing.
Any cancellations made greater than two days prior to pick-up will receive a 90% refund. Any cancellations made less than two days prior to pick-up will result in loss of all fees paid. No refund will be issued for items rented and not used or for an early return.
Outdoor Resource Area
The UAC maintains outdoor educational resources and learning tools such as numerous guidebooks, local and national park maps, and other instructional materials, all available for your use. The UAC also has computers available to customize your own personal or group outing. Each computer has National Geographic Topographical Mapping software that will enable you to plan out your trip with detailed trail maps and waypoints. The UAC staff is always ready to assist you with any of your outdoor adventure needs.
