Facility Membership

Obtaining Your Membership

The policy for purchasing and obtaining your membership has been made as easy as possible. All members and guests must be 18 years or older. First, come to the Department of Recreational Services Main Office, During buisness hours. Second, pay for your membership given the required price for your status (cash and personal checks accepted). Third, with your receipt and photo identification, go to the One Card Office loacted in the Wilbur Cross Building, Room 207 to obtain your Student Recreation Facility picture ID card. For the UConn Faculty and Staff, payroll deduction is available, please ask the office staff for more information. (Dining Services' office hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.) After you purchase your membership, you will be allowed as a courtesy to enter the SRF once with your receipt (accompanied by a photo ID.) Please obtain your UConn Recreation ID by your second visit. You will not be allowed to enter the SRF without proper ID.

The Membership includes access to the following facilities

  • Guyer Gynmnasium (Basketball, Volleyball & Badminton Courts)
  • Greer Field House (Basketball, Indoor Track & Table Tennis)
  • Racquetball/Walleyball Courts
  • Free Weights
  • Cardiovascular Equipment
  • Resistance Training Machines
  • Selectorized Machines
  • Brundage Pool
  • Climbing Center
  • Daily-Use Locker Room

The Membership allows access to the following programs (some have additional fees)

  • Intramural Sports and Special Events (Faculty, Staff and Students ONLY)
  • Bodywise
  • Natural High
  • UConn Outdoors
  • UConn Adventure Center Rentals

Parking

Parking meters are available behind the Student Recreation Facility to community members while using the facility. Additional parking is also available in the North and South Parking Garages.

Fee Structure

The Student Recreation Facility is primarily financed and staffed by University of Connecticut students. The fee structure was developed by the Department of Recreational Services at the University of Connecticut. Faculty, staff, and other individuals may choose to purchase memberships or guest privileges which are determined with operational expenses consistent with sound business practices. Memberships are sold by semesters (fall, spring, summer) only.

  • Faculty and Staff (retired F/S) of UConn
    • $100.00 per semester (Spouse/Domestic partner-$135.00 per semester)

  • Non-Degree Student Affiliates of UConn (call for more information concerning this status)
    • $100.00 per semester

  • UConn branch, medical and law students
    • $25.00 per semester

  • Alumni of UConn
    • $135.00 per semester
    Verified UConn alumni carrying an Alumni Association membership card.

  • Community Member
    • $170.00 per semester

  • Guest Policy
    • $7.00 per person, per day
    (18 years or older)
  • 5x Guest Pass
    • $30.00 per person
    • Non-refundable pass with five visits per card
    • No expiration date
  • We can accept payments in the form of cash or check only.

Academic Calendar

Memberships are sold according to the academic calendar.

  • Fall
    • August 27th, 2012 - January 20th, 2013
  • Spring
    • January 21st, 2013 - May 12th, 2013
  • Summer
    • May 13th, 2013 - August 25th, 2013
