Graduate admissions
  • Requirements include basic courses in statistics, general psychology, and experimental psychology.
  • Students with a GPA less than 3.3 are unlikely to be admitted.
  • Students are evaluated in terms of their research potential.
  • Applicants must present scores on three parts of the Graduate Record Examination:
    • Verbal Aptitude
    • Quantitative Aptitude
    • Analytical Writing
  • The GRE Subject Test in Psychology is recommended but not required.
  • Application deadline is January 1. Note the following exceptions:
    • I/O and Social applications are due by December 15.
    • Clinical applications are due by December 1.
  • No Spring admission and no terminal Masters programs.

  • W. A. Bousfield Psychology Building constructed in 1974.
  • 3 floors plus basement encompassing 60,000 square feet of working space.
  • In-house computer laboratories.

  • Basement devoted to behavioral neuroscience and ethology laboratories.
