TRANS PLANTATIONS is a one-woman show written
and performed by award-winning playwright and
screenwriter Janis Astor del Valle and directed by
Carolyn Kirsch. The play, which Janis performs in a
straitjacket, explores her lifelong struggle with cultural
and sexual identity as a New York-born Puerto Rican
uprooted from her Bronx barrio and transplanted to
rural Connecticut at age 7.
