Biographical Note:
Professor Chinchilla received a PhD from State University of New York at Stony Brook with a major in Peninsular literature and a minor in Latin American literature. Her dissertation was “The Evolution of Classical Myth in Spain's Golden Age.” She received a MA from University of New York at Stony Brook with a major in Hispanic Languages and Literature and a BA in English literature from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Prior to joining the faculty of the Modern and Classical Languages Department at UConn, she was an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Department of Spanish and Portuguese and an Instructor in the Humanities Department at Michigan Technological University.
