Configuring Microsoft Word

With Microsoft Word it is possible to save your files with the fonts embedded. To do this, go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options'. Then click on the 'Save' tab and check the box next to 'Embed True Type Fonts'.

Microsoft Word also adjusts the layout of your files according to the printer currently selected. This means when the Job is brought to us and our printer selected, the formatting may shift noticeably. To prevent this, go to the 'Tools' menu select 'Options'. Then click on the 'Compatibility' tab and uncheck the box next to 'Use printer metrics to lay out document'. This needs to be done before creating your file or the formatting may have to be adjusted once the setting is changed.
