Program Mission
To raise prevention efforts on campus and to serve as an adjunct vehicle for outreach information. The specific aim of the group is to decrease eating disorders risk behaviors.

Training
A Saturday at the beginning of each semester. The training is an opportunity for group camaraderie, trust and team building. The training encompasses discussion of our media and cultural influences on our definition of beauty and standard ideal body type. The group learns skills in helping a friend seek help and what resources are available on campus for eating disorders support. Effective facilitation and communication skills are among some of the other topics.
 
     
  Basic Description  
 
The group provides awareness events and body image programs for the promotion of positive body image. The group promotes accepting attitudes towards body shape and size.
Type of Peer Educator Mature, responsible, committed students who want to make a difference.
Responsibilities Attending training, group presentations/facilitation of discussion, attending member meetings, outreach programs
