Program Mission
The mission of HAP is to personalize the admissions process at the University of Connecticut by providing information to prospective students from the point of view of current students. Notice -- Husky Ambassador needs volunteers!
Expected Commitment
Semester
Required Skills
Enthusiasm, independence, reliability, strong communication skills.
Majors
We need Engineering, Business, and Pre-Med majors especially, but need representation from all majors.
Training
Training is covered in small group meetings at the start of the semester.
 
     
  Basic Description  
 
   
Type of Peer Educator We are looking to recruit first and second year students with strong time management skills and enthusiasm for the University.
Responsibilities Paid Coordinators organize and coordinate entire visitation program for high school seniors and coordinate volunteer efforts for the University open houses. Volunteers assist with these programs. Volunteers host high school seniors by taking the prospective student along for a typical day at UConn.
