Network Engineering Services
Network Engineering provides data network connections to all student rooms, common areas and offices to allow students and staff to utlize internal as well as external connections to the world, via the Internet. Responsibilities include the design, construction and maintenance of the infrastructure that provides all communication services within buildings and between buildings. Network Engineering is also responsible for the wireless connections that are deployed throughout the Storrs and Regional Campuses.
Impact of Federal and State Asbestos Regulations:
Departments planning renovation or installation projects, or equipment maintenance or repair work that will involve the disturbance of building materials, are advised that federal and state (OSHA, EPA, DEP, DPH) regulations require inspection or testing of the material for asbestos content prior to proceeding.
