Jewish History in the US:
A Very Different "Galut"
(Diaspora)

Professor of American Jewish History at New York University, her major interests include American Jewish history, American immigration history and women's history. Author of several books, including A Time for Gathering : The Second Migration, 1820-1880; Lower East Side Memories: A Jewish Place in America; and Her works Praise Her: A history of Jewish Women in America From Colonial Times to the Present. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Jewish Research.

The Return of European Anti-Semitism
Senior editor of Commentary magazine, a former research assistant in the office of Senator Daniel P. Moynihan, a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard's Russian Research Center. He was Senior Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Editor, Post-Soviet Prospects. His essays and op-ed pieces appear in Commentary, Wall Street Journal, New York Times Sunday Book Review, The New Republic, Der Spiegel, Washington Post, Boston Globe, and others. His latest book is The Return of Anti-Semitism.

Causes of the Conflict & Prospects for Resolution
Professor of conflict resoulution and public affairs at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, George Mason University, and expert on political and religious violence and terrorism. A graduate of Harvard College and Oxford University (Rhodes Scholar) and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. A prolific writer, his books include Aristotles's Children: How Christians, Muslims, & Jews Rediscovered Ancient Wisdom & Illuminated the Dark Ages and When Jesus Became God,a featured selection of the Book of the Month Club and the Catholic Book Club.
