Small Grant Program
The Institute for Teaching and Learning sponsors a small grant
program to support educational activities at the University
of Connecticut. The primary purpose of the grant program is
to assist faculty and teaching assistants to enhance their
instructional programs. Applications for a small grant can
be made at any time.
Requests for financial support may be for proposals to:
- support new and/or innovative pedagogical approaches
- enhance student learning
- improve advising procedures
- support of faculty, adjunct lecturers, and teaching assistants
participating in colloquia and traineeship programs aimed
at instructional improvement.
These activities are not meant to be exclusive, but rather
are listed as an indication of the types of proposals that
may be supported. (This grant program is not intended for activities
that should more properly be part of a Department or School/College's
support) The application must show the medium to long-term
benefits of the project. It is our hope that this initial support
would assist faculty to obtain further funding from other sources.
Small grant applications (up to $250) may be submitted at
any time. A response can be expected within a few weeks.
You can download
the small grant application or contact the Institute
for Teaching & Learning at 486-2686 to have a copy mailed
