Current UConn students interested in transferring into the Human Development and Family Studies Program should bring a completed application (Transfer Application) to their first appointment with an HDFS advisor.
Please note that you must make an appointment with an HDFS advisor through our online system (http://advapp.uconn.edu).
Non-UConn students should apply to the University indicating Human Development & Family Studies as their intended major
OVERENROLLMENT POLICY OVERENROLLMENT FORM:
Please be advised that to overenroll in HDFS classes you must submit an ONLINE overenrollment form, which will ONLY be available two weeks prior to the start of classes.
Continue to try to enroll in the desired course as it may become available due the add/drop, or to the reserved seats being released. Once again the overenrollment form is NOT available prior to this time.
If you have not had success enrolling within the two weeks prior to classes beginning, submit the form as per the instructions. They will be processed and sent to the instructors, who will then assign permission numbers at their discretion.
DO NOT CONTACT THE INSTRUCTOR OF THE CLASS. They will contact you if they are giving you a permission number.
