Publishing free/busy time

This process will work on Outlook 98, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007 for Windows.

Publishing My Free/Busy Time:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on Tools in the menu.

  4. Click on Options.
  5. The first tab should be the Preferences tab, if you are not in this tab already then click on it.

  7. Click on Calendar Options.
  8. Click on Free/Busy Options.

  10. The recommended/default setting for publishing your calendar is 2 months. Other users will be able to see your free/busy time for the next 2 months, your calendar after that will appear to be blank We do not recommend changing this.

  12. The recommended/default setting for updating your calendar is every 15 minutes, this should not be changed.
  13. Click on OK. Click OK.

Now anyone who wishes to see your free/busy time can do so by inviting you to an appointment.
