Note: all other Mac email clients follow the same basic model: configure as IMAP type account, enter uconn/YourNetID/ResourceID within the Account/User ID field.

| From the Accounts window that appears, click the "+" icon in the lower-left corner of the window. | ![]() |

From the Add Account dialogue that appears, enter the following information:
Note: You may be prompted that the attempt to access the Auto Discover server failed, in this case, an addition field for your username will appear. Enter the information below to configure:

From the Incoming Mail Server dialogue, enter the following information:

From the Outgoing Mail Server dialogue, enter the following information:

As a final step, you should see a confirmation dialogue listing your current account configuration, click next/done to continue. On completion of account configuration, you should see a list of the accounts configured, and the new, shared mailbox configuration list in the left-hand column. |

You can also switch to the Mailbox Behaviors tab of the account to tweak where draft, sent, junk, and deleted email messages are stored (lock versus on the server). Congratulations, you have successfully configured Apple Mail for a shared resource account. |
