Is there a special discount for resalers?

Yes, contact the DEP Store.

Is the information in the CD only applicable to Connecticut?

No. Although the CD contains Connecticut DEP regulatory material , this information is only a small part of the information provided. Most of the CD contains technical guidance that can be applied most anywhere.

Can the CD be used in a training course I am giving?

Yes. The graphical nature of the CD makes it ideal for desktop or laptop computer use or computer projection for undergraduate or short courses. Spreadsheets can be used for in-class data collection and analysis or for homework. The training exercise can be used in a host of ways including: conducting three-point problems; contouring the water table; evaluating hydraulic head variation and ground water flow in three-dimensions; preparing geologic cross sections, fence diagrams or block diagrams; mapping contamination using wells or multilevel samplers; assessing biodegradation rates, and performing contaminant transport modeling.

Can you provide answers to the questions in the training exercise instructions?

A formal set of answers is being compiled for downloading. It should be kept in mind that the training exercise is a real world problem. The answers you get will depend on the investigation methods you choose, your sampling locations and how you process the data. Also, as in the real world, your results are influenced by a budget. In the real world, we never really know the absolute truth. In the meantime, compare your results with those of others to evaluate how well you have done.
