Crowds gather at the Connecticut DEP State Fair presentation at the UST/LUST National Conference, Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) was given a Best Presentation Award for presenting Expedited Site Assessment: The CD at the 13th annual U.S. Environmental Protection Agency UST/LUST National Conference, held in Albuquerque, New Mexico in March 2001. The award was given at the State Fair session where state environmental agencies display initiatives they are taking to prevent, assess or clean-up fuel releases at service station sites. The DEP presentation was given by Peter Zack (the CD producer) and Frank Bartolomeo from the DEP LUST Program and Gary Robbins (the CD author), from the Department of Geology and Geophysics, University of Connecticut.
