PRINTING CONTROL-D REPORTS
To print CONTROL-D reports you need a printer available that is capable of printing mainframe applications
.- The printer must have a jet direct card and be configured for it.
- Once a printer has been configured with the jet direct card it will need a static IP address assigned to it.
- Once a static IP address is assigned the printer will need printer tags defined for portrait and landscape printing orientations.
- Call the University Information Technology Services HELP desk at 486-4357 for assistance with the above steps.
Once the printer is set up to accommodate mainframe printing, CONTROL-D reports can be directed to it.
From the ACTIVE LIST screen move the cursor to the OPTION (O) area to the left of the Report Name. Type the letter P (Print) and press ENTER. The PRINT OPTION sub-menu is displayed.
PRINT OPTIONS
| 1 | Immediate Printing. The report is sent to the printer specified in the DEST field immediately. Use this option to print the report or the requested pages of a report to a remote printer located nearby. |
| 2 | Deferred Printing. The report will be printed on the printers located in UITS Network Operations. You will receive the report later in the day. |
| X | Take no action. Exit the Print Option window. |
COPIES Number of copies to print. FORM FORM to use when printing the report. For Immediate Print always type in STAN. CLASS Output class to print the report. For Immediate Print always type in G. DEST Remote printer ID where the report will be printed. FROM PAGE nnnnnn TO PAGE nnnnnn Allows you to print a range of pages from the report. The default value in FROM PAGE is 000001 and TO PAGE is the total number of pages in the report.
NOTE: When entering a page range for report printing use the page numbers displayed on the top line of the REPORT VIEWING SCREEN in the FROM PAGE/TO PAGE areas. DO NOT use the page number in the report page.
