Children of the Undocumented: Forgotten Casualties of Immigration Policy

Join us for a panel presentation and dialogue concerning the impact of new policies toward undocumented workers and their families, including the increasing detention and deportation of migrants. Panelists discuss what roles social workers can play in shaping policies and how to address the needs of children who are separated from their parents. A human rights framework on migrant families will inform the discussion. Lunch will be provided.

Panel members: Sandra Trevino, Executive Director, JUNTA, New Haven, CT and Kathryn Libal, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, University of Connecticut School of Social Work and Department of Human Development and Family Studies.
