Capstone course in which majors and minors in Latin
American Studies design, execute and write up original, library-based
research on Latin America. Some readings may be in Spanish or

the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad de Chile,
in Santiago, Chile; and at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Students may go for either a semester or a full academic year. The
University also sponsors an academic year and a one-semester program in
