Organization and Policy
First semester. Two credits. One 2-hour lecture period.
A course designed to acquaint the student with the history, objectives,
policy, administrative procedures, organization and methods used by the
Cooperative Extension Service. Special consideration will be given to the
inter-relationship with other adult education programs. |
| 215. Cooperative
Extension Communications
Second semester. Three credits.
Communication theory, methods, and skills relevant to the educational
functions of the Cooperative Extension Service. Acquaint students with
relationships among Extension objectives, clients and the communication
media. |

Agriculture and Natural Resources Internship
Either semester or summer. One to six credits. Open to Upper Division
students in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources with consent
of the Dean, the student's department head and advisor. This course may
be repeated for credit with the total credits earned not to exceed six.
This course is designed to provide students with a meaningful experience
in a formalized agricultural or natural resources program under supervised
conditions. Each student taking this course must submit a formal written
report for evaluation and meet all other course requirements as specified
by the instructor. |

Either semester. Credits and hours by arrangement. Open only with consent
of instructor. May be repeated for credit with a change of topic. |
| 299. Independent Study
Either or both semesters. Credits and hours by arrangement. May be repeated
for credit with a change of topic. Prerequisite: Open only to students
with Independent Study Authorization.
This course is designed primarily for Resource Economics majors. |
