Mission Statement

The Mission of the Seminar Series in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Connecticut is to promote the cultivation and exchange of ideas through the presentation of original economic research and exposition of recent technical developments in the tools economists use. To accomplish this mission the seminar committee concentrates its efforts on:

  • Holding regularly scheduled seminars by prominent researchers working in fields within and related to Agricultural and Resource Economics.

  • Holding faculty- and student-led workshops on current tools of the economics trade.

  • Holding regularly scheduled seminars given by advanced graduate students working in fields within and related to Agricultural and Resource Economics.
