Areas of Concentration:
Marketing & Business Management: Emphasizes the application of economics to management, marketing, and finance issues in the business and government sectors.
Environmental Economics & Policy: Emphasizes the application of economics to natural resource and environmental policy issues in the business and government sectors.
International Development: Emphasizes the application of economics to marketing, resource or commodity management, and development issues in international business and government sectors.
Minors
- Agribusiness Management
The minor will provide an overview of marketing, management, and financial principals and concepts in agribusiness. Analytical and applied decision-making skills are emphasized.
All students are required to complete 15 credits from the following courses: ARE 3210, 3215, 3221, 3225, 3260, 4217, 4275, 4464; HORT 3540; ANSC 3452, or 4662W, any 3000-level or above ARE course,
if approved by minor advisor.
Note: ARE 1150 may be required for some 3000-level or above Agricultural and Resource Economic courses. Other courses listed may have additional prerequisites as well.
Students must earn a combined grade point average of 2.5 or higher for all courses listed above. This minor is not open to Resource Economics majors who are concentrating in Marketing and Business Management.

- Environmental Economics and Policy
The minor will provide interested students with an overview of key concepts and methods used by economists to analyze problems associated with human use and misuse of natural resources and the
environment and to evaluate policy options for better management of these resources for current and future generations. All students are required to complete 15 credits from the following courses:
ARE 3235, 3260, 3434, 3436, 3437, 4438, 4444, 4462, 4464; ECON 2467; NRE 3245 or any other 3000-level or above ARE course if approved by the Minor Advisor.
Students must earn a combined grade point average of 2.5 or higher for all courses listed above. This minor is not open to Resource Economics majors who are concentrating in Environmental Economics and Policy.

- Equine Business Management
The minor provides interested students with an overview of marketing, management, and financial principals and concepts in equine management. Analytical and applied decision-making skills are emphasized.
All students are required to complete 18 credits from the following two groups:
- Nine credits from the core courses: ANSC 2251, 3452; ARE 3210, 3215
- Nine credits from the following courses: ARE 3225, 4217, 4275, 4438, 4464 and any one 3000-level or above ARE course, if approved by the minor advisor.
Students must earn a combined grade point average of 2.5 or higher for all courses listed above.

Double Major Option
Resource Economics Students are able to complete a double major by:
- Fulfilling the program requirements of the Resource Economics Major
- Declaring a secondary major within the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ex: Animal Science or Natural Resources Management & Engineering)
- Completing at least 24 credits of additional 200-level coursework not used as part of the 36 credit group for the primary major.
